Another Atmospheric River Arrives
Now that every day is a Saturday for me, I still rarely sleep in. On this Tuesday morning I was out the door just after sunrise heading west towards the pacific. A new storm which was classified as an atmospheric river was heading our way and I wanted to be there to greet it.
I rolled to a stop on the corner of Laguna Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway. The sky was saturated with interesting light and dramatic clouds and a moodiness that really got my creative juices flowing. I turned left and headed south down PCH.
A light rain began to dot my windshield as I pulled into the Dana Point Harbor Ocean Institute parking lot. A few minutes later I was standing on the breakwater drinking coffee waiting to say hello to our next storm of the season.
