Egret - Morning Light - 2019 Backlit in morning light an Egret is getting ready for a new day.	Mallard Drake Grooming_5095 It was a rather lazy morning at my favorite local duck pond at the Irvine Regional Park in Southern California. I watched this fella getting his things in order and waited for him to float out of the shadows into some nice light before releasing the shutter.

At Rest I just love the trust and peacefulness portrayed in this photograph.	Northern Shoveler - 4339 On final just before the landing gear came down.
Brown Pelican - 2956-2 There were four Brown Pelicans all within close proximity of each other. This was the best looking one of the group. I was thrilled when he turned to face me and made full on eye contact!	Pintail Duck - 9482 I thought this guy looked proud.
Chaos - 4177 I have no idea why, or who gave the signal, or what the signal even is, but they all took flight at once! I find the duck world to be so entertaining.	Sea Gull - 2923 Profile portrait of a rather nice looking Sea Gull.

SJWR - Turkey Vulture - 3113 Turkey Vultures have a wingspan of up to 70 inches and look so graceful soaring on the thermals above. Turkey vultures are the only scavenger birds that can't kill their prey.
Northern Shoveler - 3668 More than anything, I like the perspective of this shot.	American Wigeon Drake_8284 This guy was using the tree truck reflection like a path. As soon as he veered left I fired off a burst.
