Fennel Seeds in a Spice Jar

It rained the other day, so I stayed indoors all day and cooked and made some photographs of various things around the house.

What did I cook you might be wondering. So, I’ll tell you. I made a batch of tennis ball sized meatballs from scratch which I served on whole-wheat pasta rotini topped with a homemade spicy blackberry reduction sauce. OMG was it good! And yes, I used fennel seeds in the meatballs. I also like to use them in my breakfast sausage patties as well.

I used a 105mm macro lens with my camera mounted on a tripod to create the photograph of the fennel seeds.
